Broker warning / BetaBinary
Do not deposit with BetaBinary. Unverified company credentials, ambitious marketing claims and reported platform and withdrawal problems provide enough reason to choose another provider.
Our assessment: avoid
This is an editorial warning based on published marketing and third-party investigations, not a finding of criminal fraud. It concerns betabinary.ke and betabinary.com. Similar names or website designs do not establish that other services share the same ownership.
1. Establish who would hold your money
A investigation by binaryoptions.net reports that it could not verify BetaBinary’s operating company or financial licence, and that searches under its brand name produced no CMA registration match. That leaves an essential question unanswered: which identifiable business would owe you your deposit and winnings? Before trusting any broker, obtain its legal name, registration jurisdiction and financial-authorisation details. Kenyan readers can check the Capital Markets Authority’s official register, matching the entity, website and permitted activities. A Kenyan domain, familiar payment method or company-incorporation document does not establish permission to offer the advertised trading service.
2. Treat impressive numbers as claims
The BetaBinary marketing page claims more than one million active traders, over $50 million in daily volume and a 4.9/5 rating from more than 50,000 reviews. These figures have not been independently verified for this warning. Ask for the original review source, the definition of an active trader and evidence supporting the volume figure. Testimonials displayed by the seller cannot answer those questions. A large number printed beside a star symbol is still a claim. Do not use it as a substitute for a documented operating history and evidence of reliable withdrawals.
The same page advertises payouts up to 950%. A large payout is not a promise of a large expected return: it may apply to an outcome with a low probability. Check which contract qualifies, whether the percentage includes your stake and how the result is determined. A headline maximum tells you little about the contracts you will actually trade.
3. Compare the promises with the evidence
What needs checking before any deposit
| Claim or concern | What a reader should require |
|---|---|
| Wide asset choice The published investigation reports 12 available assets against advertising for more than 100. | Inspect the contract list and underlying instruments. Synthetic indices are not interchangeable with shares, currencies or commodities. |
| Fast execution Reviewers report delayed or failed orders despite speed claims. | Require dependable order confirmations and timestamps. An attractive screen does not establish reliable execution. |
| Accessible terms The investigation reports a non-working terms link. | Obtain the current client agreement, legal entity and withdrawal rules before funding. Do not accept verbal assurances instead. |
| Withdrawals The review refers to allegations of unpaid withdrawals. | Look for independent payment evidence and substantive complaint responses. Screenshots of platform profits do not prove money arrived. |
The brokerlistings.com investigation, updated in September 2026, describes 42 test trades, unanswered support questions and chart controls that did not work. We have not reproduced those tests or resolved individual withdrawal disputes. The distinction matters: reported defects are evidence to assess, while customer accusations require investigation. Even so, unresolved questions about execution, contractual rights and access to money are sufficient grounds to decline a deposit.
4. Separate trading losses from deception
A losing trade or a disclosed synthetic market does not establish fraud. Deception means misrepresenting the service, credentials or treatment of customer money. The concern with BetaBinary is whether its identity and promises can be checked, and whether the reported problems receive credible answers. A broker does not earn trust simply because its platform accepts orders. Our recommendation is to avoid BetaBinary until there is independently verifiable evidence addressing those concerns.
The binaryoptions.net review also identifies similarities between BetaBinary and TagOption. That supports further scrutiny, but it does not independently establish common ownership. Do not assume a different brand resolves an earlier complaint, or that a familiar-looking platform belongs to an established broker.
Does a successful small withdrawal prove the broker is safe?
No. It confirms only that one payment arrived. The FBI describes how investment scammers can allow early withdrawals to encourage larger deposits. This is general fraud guidance, not proof of what happened in a particular BetaBinary account. Do not send money to a suspicious platform merely to test it.
Already deposited? Protect what remains
Stop adding money while these concerns remain unresolved. Request a withdrawal through the existing verified account route and retain the confirmation. If it is delayed, ask for the reason and applicable contractual provision in writing. Necessary identity checks are different from demands for another investment. Never share a banking password or wallet recovery phrase.
- Save evidence: Keep the exact domain, payment receipts, account records, messages and withdrawal requests.
- Contact your payment provider promptly: Ask your bank, card issuer, mobile-money provider or sending exchange about dispute and recovery options. Recovery is not guaranteed.
- Report suspected deception: Give the relevant regulator and local fraud-reporting authority a dated account of what was promised and what happened.
- Reject recovery pressure: Do not pay an unexplained release fee, guaranteed recovery service or supposed trader promising to win back your losses.
